But then again, Obama and his wife are young, overhyped, and relative celebrities given their recent entry into the public conciousnes.  Who wants to read about the romance between the McCains?

Really, what are they going to sensationalize about B-Rock?

The biggest Republican smear this election cycle has been their attempted connection of him to Bill Ayers, and I'm sorry, but that kind of analysis isn't going to fly with the target audience of US magazine.  They don't care about a Congressional bathroom getting blown up 30 years ago, they care about who is sleeping with whom and whom is having whoms baby.

I don't see any possible headline they could grab from the Obama camp, unless they want to take a picture of his daughter with a white friend and school and start screaming about interracial love interests.

No one is denying that they very well may be biased. We're saying, "who cares?" It's not as if it's a reputable magazine or that people who read that magazine will vote anyways.

And redstorm, I agree.  I was saying the same thing:  US weekly is read by jackasses who don't vote and who are borderline communists if the couple of folks I know who read it are any indication.

In no event should anyone care whatsoever what that thing prints.  It's like getting upset Alex Jones accuses McCain of eating babies but doesn't mention that Obama shoots lasers from his eyes.  Maybe biased, but who cares?


Besides, Palin's daughter is a non issue anyways, its just funny.  And she appears cut in the photos I've seen-.

alright well i read that in a popular magazine i assumed it was credible since it wasnt a tabloid
maybe they just made it seem that way
in any sense i believe obama is less removed from compassion than mccain is
meaning that thousands of innocent iraqis could be dieing and mccain wouldn't think twice about it as long as we are going to leave victories
obama on the other hand i think is much more sensitive to humanitarian and moral understandings even if they contradict victory

who is put into office it's going to be increased spending,
one targets military budgets and the other for social

he says so, and then will raise them on "big buisness" whatever that means.


So as long as you don't drive a car or buy anything, or heaven forbid work for one or have a mortgage through one, and you live in the woods, you will be totally insulated.


I don't get the logic myself.  Why should smaller companies pay less than larger?  Either this will encourage companies to fire people or simply split into multiple companies doing the same thing.  Either way its stupid, and stupid work-arounds with  cumbersome and highly discretionary enforcement are halmarks of bullshit rules.


Its not like the economy is totally insulated in each of its segments... we are all affected by everything.


Lower taxes and make it a flat rate.  Small buisnesses that aren't profitable already pay 0 income tax so what's the issue?

No need to raise taxes if government spending is cut.  Kill all of the socialist programs along with all of the other spending that is not supported by the Constitution and let the individual states decide if they want to raise their own taxes to support such programs.  By returning power to the individual states, the federal government could not only get out of debt, but could lower taxes as well (though state taxes would have to go up, most likely).
