A lack of language might create a more intuitive understanding of the nature of reality, but think how much more fulfilling it would be if we could achieve that empirically, through language.

We can it's all about finding the right words to describe the indescribable.

Then agian if most dont have these thoughts or share these experiences
then it would be impossible really.

It reminds me of the arguments about what ego death is.

i think any self aware species with the proper means would require a language, but a syntactical language such as ours might not be the only option.

Yeah, at a certain point you lose the words.  If everybody had had the experience, however, you could just encapsulate parts of the indescribable into new words.  It wouldn't be cheating; these words would have as much meaning as any others.  I think human evolution might eventually rest on such an expansion of language.

The meaning isn't going anywhere, it's not like meaning is replaced by words.  Words are our way of expressing that meaning as best we can to each other.  They're like little meaning pods, flying between our brains.

Language is just another filter for reality. Reality is filtered by our brains, our preconceptions, and our culture. Peoples subjective reality differs. Consensus reality is culture. There are many competing consensus realities, as there are 'gods'. Check out memetics. It's interesting. ;p
