How Are Canadians Different from Americans?

This is not an America vs. Canada thread...So I am asking that it not be made into one. It's purpose is to maybe help clarify why we see things so differently.

I found it very interesting...I hope you do too.

we have more people,3rd most in the world. a larger economy, larger army, navy, airforce..

Canada is larger in area at #2 and the us is at #3 just nipping Australia and China

Canada has better hockey players, and more snow...

Canada has Canadian football and the US has American football

Canada still fights its natives...we killed most of them

Canada is North the US is South

We have sun, they have snow....

Besides they provide free medical, they also have really clean strees.

Canadians are different than Americans in a lot of little ways that add up to a big difference.

Canadians are more tolerant (in general) than Americans.

Canadians can handle their beer, Americans can't. (Yes, our beer is 5%. We don't like beer-flavoured water)

Lets talk about the big difference: Canada will legalize marijuana long before the US will.

I listed a couple. I meant that most of the differences are small ones hard to notice, but when you look at everything together it makes a big difference.

I think you're reading too much into that article Invertigo...it is just stating the differences in attitudes towards the bible and religion for that matter. It doesn't even come remotely close to saying anything about the bible being evil...just that Americans tend to combine religion and politics more than Canadians.

I see...but i still find it funny that there are people out there that believe that if someone reads the bible they can't be taken seriously. Some of the smartest people out there have read the bible before..liberal or Conservative...and all countries that allow individual thought....also remember we have 270,000,000 people and Canada has about 31,000,000...i believe there are more Catholics (no particular reason) then your whole country.

I agree that we intergrate a christian morality (which we were based on) however i don't believe that religion guides most actions.

The big difference, is that Canadians have a stronger sense of irony.
