Jungle Growth
    #865724 -

Kinda trying different things. Can't get coir around here so I found this stuff called jungle growth, It is 55-65%sphagnum moss, with composted pine bark, perlite, vermiculite, and a horticurural grade of hardwood carbon. would this work if sterileized? anything to harm the growth??carbon?? Just another newbie question

Twigs/bark tend to bring green. Perlite is not an essential casing element. Why not just make your own 50/50 or order some coir off the net. It's cheap! You can also case with straight vermiculite if you have enough experience knowing when the verm is dry.

wood casing layers will cause a problem.
Unless ofcourse you`re growing woodlovers then it might be better.
