In the OP's post title, it says "surg un" which I assume means surgery in.

Lucid, how long ago was the stroke? A lot of younger stroke patients show improvement over time because the brain can repair itself much better when younger. If you've ever heard that the brain doesn't repair itself, that's bullshit. Give it time. Have they suggested any kind of physical therapy? If they have, you should do it. Might help immensely.
