question on starting

I am new to this website and new to the growing community. I have a few questions before I start. I was wondering first of all if anybody could tell me how reliable growing kits sold of the internet are? thanks

Kits are mostly a rip, all the stuff you need can be easily found around town for very cheap.

Dont use a grow kit. Read the PF Tek, it is the most full proof way for new cultivators. The links are posted above in the sticky threads

:laugh: :laugh: :laugh: :laugh:Welcome! Grow kits do typically yeild results, HOWEVER all materials yoou need to grow with can normally be bought for far less than the total price of the kit. Check out the vendors section and visit some of their sites for the prints or syringes, other than that you can get started from wal-mart getting everything else. The most expensive thing but highely recommended is a pressure cooker. get this first, then check out the growing FAQ for alot of recipies. When you find one you like , ask on here if it has yeilded good results and ease of use. Then go back to wally world and get what is called for. Again welcome to the shroomery. bluhoney

I agree with everyone else who has posted. Grow kits do work, but they are normally more expensive than purchasing the supplies yourself. I also recommend the PF Tek as a starting point. You should be able to purchase everything you need from a local retailer minus the spore syringe which PF will gladly supply.

I also agree I have been through the process from grow kits through actual cultivation and if I had it to do over i would go right to growing and skip the kits.
Very expensive
