deepest condolences my friend

a few years ago we had to put down my dog that i'd grown up with. It was terrible. Before she went we fed her all this unhealthy stuff like kit kats and shit. I wanna hunt down the picture of when i was barely crawling, she used gently grab ahold of my diaper and drag me around the house. i loved it, sounds kinda weird/agressive but it wasn't

good vibes my friend, you loved him all the way :heartpump:

sorry to hear that man, it's a hell of a decision to have to euthanise your pets, even when it's in their best interest. RIP.

Damn I hate this shit.  Why did the dog have to die?  No reason whatsoever...

I just want to thank everyone for their kind words, this has been a lot tougher than I thought and it's only been one night.  My roommate is still on vacation with his girlfriend so I haven't told him yet, not wanting to ruin the rest of his trip.  The house just seems very empty.  If I could I'd like to share about my dog Sparky.

He was rescued from an animal shelter in the spring of 2004.
He did not care for thunderstorms, skateboarding, or cats and other small animals and waged war with groundhog in our backyard.
He loved playing tug of war and chasing frisbees.
He enjoyed meeting new people and was well behaved around small children, even when they were rough with him.
He liked watching Mario Kart and Wii Sports (both will be strange to play without him barking wildly at the screen).
He didn't know any tricks other than sit, and wasn't above falling asleep in strange positions.
He was good dog, and an even better roommate and will be missed.

Again thanks everyone for the support.

I lost a dog recently as well.

So sorry to hear that man, and how someone else killed your dog makes it worse. At least my dog went naturally...

It's hard to get over, but easier than a human at least... somewhat.

I've hit 3 or 4 cats over the years, always feels bad.  I stop and put them on the sidewalk.  I've held one as it died.

But that time I found a nest on my balcony, and broke the eggs, and the birds were trying to put the eggs back together.......that was pretty brutal.

My dad quit hunting when he accidentally killed a whooping crane when we were hunting geese lol, some 15 years ago.

Anyways, did you get her address?  A way to get her the vet bill?

Yea she actually called me not too long ago to apologize and agree to cover the costs. I'm not generally one to place blame, but she was on a cell phone and I should have stopped him from going around the bush sooner than I did..I think I'm going to call the vet soon and see how hes doing.

Just curious, do you live in a state where it's illegal to talk on your phone while driving?
If not, then I have to give the lady some credit for being so nice about it. I mean, either way she's being nice by calling and agreeing to cover costs and such, but it's obviously even better if she wouldn't be legally obliged to.

They were pigeons, and they were shitting all over my balcony.  On the outdoor carpet and all over the railing.

I would have rung ones neck if they didn't see me each time at the last second.

Fucking disease bags.
