Will my doctor look in my nose for drugs? Need help.

I don't mean this literally. However, I've snorted a couple of oxys today and yesterday, forgetting that I have a physical tomorrow. I haven't snorted prior to this in a few months, however, when my doctor looks in my nose with that weird light thingy, will he be able to tell that I've been abusing drugs? My nose doesn't feel too scratched, but I just wanted to know what I should expect or if anyone has experience with this type of thing.

He might see abrasions or lesions from excessive snort actions. Go get some saline nose spray and irrigate your nostrils, and be honest if s/he calls you on it.

:lol: Unless he's got a reason to, drugs will not be on your doctor's mind as he's giving you a physical.  Maybe if you had track marks on your arms, or if he knows you have a history of drug use, or maybe if you're a minor and your parents told him to look for signs of drug use.

If you haven't snorted anything besides those oxys in months then you have nothing to worry about.  Maybe if you used to do a lot of coke and your nose was all eaten away your doctor would notice.  But if he does notice anything he'll probably just think you pick your nose a lot.

Well if i were your doctor, the first thing I'd do is look straight up your nose
to see what kind of drugs you have been using...once identified I'd phone the local law enforcement to have your ass hauled away for immediate incarceration
with a minimum term of 40 years +

except if he is underage, which seems be, why else would you be worried about your doctor seeing a few scratches in your nose?

I am eighteen. This is just my first doctor's visit without ol' mommy and daddy with me. I apologize. It is pretty paranoid of me. Heh, I guess just better safe than sorry.

Unless it's a GSW, Child abuse, spousal abuse, elder neglect, or drug use. doctor/patient confidentiality only goes so far.

6 or 7 years ago my doc asked me "have you been snorting drugs" after looking up my nose. i had been snorting cocaine, pain pills or meth every day before then.  i told him yes.. all he said was please stop that or just be careful. he said nothing to my family or anyone else.

I had to go to the doctor for sinus problems after doing so much dilaudid for weeks that I woke up every morning with a bloody nose, couldn't blow my nose during the day for fear it would bleed, and had to cut my dilaudid with snuff just to clear out my sinuses.
My doctor commented that the inside of my nose looked like raw hamburger, I said I'd been doing a lot of snuff lately trying to quit smoking, and she told me to quit doing snuff and I'd be fine.
I doubt your doc will notice, but if they do, tell them you do snuff.  If you tell them the truth, that you're snorting oxy, they might stick it into your medical file that you might have a substance abuse problem.
