Optimal compost substrate composition Q, ???

This technical Q is respectfully directed at Anno & others of vast demonstated mycological expertice (You know who you are).

While nothing is perfect. In general, what would be a "near optimal " specification for an organic (aerobically made) compost substrate specificaly designed for the cultivation of general non/specific P.C. strains?

Please consider cost, material availability & labor factors, so that the specification is economicly feasible to produce, in bulk.

As an example:

pH: 7.0 - 7.5

Soluble salts: 3.0-5. 0dS/m

Carbon Nitrogen ratio: <25:1

Total nitrogen: 0.8-1.5%

Available ammonium: <10ppm

Total phosphorus: 0.2-0.5%

Total potassium: 1.5-2.5%

Total calcium: 1.5-2.5%

Total boron: <25ppm

Available boron: 1ppm

Lig: 3.1%

Cellulose: 12%

Hemicellulose: 13%

Microbial diversity Index: >8.

Moisture content: 50-55%

At oner time a FOAF of the Raccoon's attempted to formulate a shreaded wheat straw/dung material & pelletize it for the purpose of using as a semi/pasturized readily available (easy to use) substrate.

That was not a failure. However, the cost of labor, material, equiptment & variables made the product to expensive for mass production. Going back to the "drawing" board, it "seem's" a more feasible route is to simply make a stable organic compost specificly designed as a nonspecific mushroom substrate.

Any info and/or points in the right direction would be greatly appreciated.

Anno, Thank you for the reply.

Sorry to say, I'm not looking for a formula to make mushroom compost. What I'm looking for is the optimal mushroom nutrient content of a perfect as possible P.C. mushroom compost, after it is made.

As in the example I started this thread with. Do you think that is close?

I suppose there is not much published info on the optimal nutient, mineral, cellulose & microbe content of any manufactured mushroom compost. As all composts start with differing material, treatment, turning time, humidity & temp.

But, there must be some info of that type -- somewhere?

I have done several hours of web searching, and found nothing diffinative - yet.
