contam?

Hey all, my grandma's pf cakes are coming along nicely, though for about a week and a half there has been a rust-like colored spot on one of the cakes. She figured she'd watch it and see if it spread, but it hasn't. The mycelium is still growing, just not on that spot where the orangish color is. She says the jar smells good still too, very much like the other contam-free cakes. Any advice?
