Cakes were birthed 6 days ago. Humidity is around 90% and the myc seems to be growing like crazy. But I do have this weird coloration on three of the cakes. It looks to be a light yellow with a orangish tint. Contams? Piss? Anyone? Thanks!

I can't tell you if that's a contam or not (some signs can show up later, so time will tell) but if it isn't, it could be piss or dried mycelium.
I bet on the last issue, cakes need to be highly hydrated, you have to up those Rh levels to at least 95%.

Right now I'm hand spraying with the typical pf terrarium setup and it's a bitch trying to keep the humidity up and the cakes just seem like they might be getting dry. Do you think perlite is the way to go?

Switched to perlite from the hand spraying and added some h202 to the water and humidity climbed to 100% overnight. Things are look goooood! The orange tint seems to be fading and being eaten up with the white frosty goodness. Thanks for the suggestions!
