Drying TEchniques

hey...any great ideas for the mass drying of azures??? ive tried a few techniques, but, none seem to work effeciently...hook me up peeps...i am refering the drying of several ounces...thanks...

Carefully lay the mushrooms onto a paper surface,
Make sure there is plenty of ventilation,
Leave them to sit for a few days and they should be dry.

If you want to get more serious about preserving Shrooms,
Then get a food dehydrator..these machines will rock your world.

Well if I ever had any to dry out this is what i would do:
Lay them out on newspaper for a few days, if your climate is like mine this will get them 90% dry, not dry enough for long term preservation though. they will bend but not break with a snap. Thats what you are looking for cracker dry. So after a few days i would use a light bulb about 75W and use it to bring the temp around the fungis to about 85-90 Deg. I would use a fish tank or a container of some type and use a drop light which is a light with a reflector behind it. Try out different distances away till your temp is in the range i mentioned. This temp will not hurt any fungis that may be near. After 24-48 hours they will break in half then u must do something right away like put in a baggie. If you leave them out they will pick moisture from the air back up.

Put them on a paper towel in front of a small fan for 48-72 hours. If you're planning on storing for long periods, finish them off with drierite.
