This will make drying faster, but it will also increase oxidization.

You can speed up your drying process by using the Captn Max Drying Tek.

This involves turning your oven low, about 100 - 150. Set your shrooms on a sheet of paper on the middle rack. Leave the oven door open and place a fan on it positioned so it is blowing on your shrooms. The combination of warm air and air movement will dry them cracker dry in just a couple hours!
Store them in a canning jar, turn the lid the proper way, they should be airtight and need no additional dessicants, etc.

does this degrade the potency at all? seems like a good tek if it drys in a couple of hours but I hate shrooms that are degraded!

captainmax are you being funny? everybody knows that drying with heat degrades the mushies. have you gone mad?? yeah dry them in heat if you only want .001% ps in your shrooms!

Fan on its back, blowing upward, good for fatties or large crops when placed on grill.
Dessicate after.
For very small crops, hanging them behind a CPU, in front of the fan, really dries them fast. The air is just slightly warm.

Would it be bad to cut a shroom, just after picking, and cuting it into small slices to speed up drying?

taz, you're an idiot and so is the guy who who knitted you. An oven turned to 100 - 150, with the door open and a fan blowing directly on the shrooms, is no longer 100 - 150, which isn't that hot to begin with.
The tek promotes warm air circulation. If you don't believe it, go try it hippiecrit. Or are you to busy dunking your cakes in the toilet.

Try baking them at 350 for 20 minutes..now THATS hot and will degrade potency.
And yet, some say, by how much? Afterall, doth not making tea subject to them extremely hot temps?

if i dont have any fresh batches being harvested, i will just leave the last dried batch in the air tight dessicant chamber until i have some more freshies to dry. is there any harm in this? i would think i t would super dry them. the chamber is kept in the dark

I recently borrowed an ex-wife's dehydrator and dried a pile in it . Tonight I'm goin to try some and see if theres a diff in potency between them and dessicant. The dehydrator dried them within 24 hours at 95 deg. I'll post on this thread tomorrow.

And I have NEVER bought a pf product, a got a couple prints in a trade once and they were contaminated and produced deformed and mutated mushrooms.

So put that in your pipe and smoke it.

By the way folks, if you want to keep your mushrooms dried, just put them in a canning jar. Put the lid on the right way. Put them in a couple baggies for extra protection.
