drying shrooms

i have a few little ones that are ready to be picked and have read several diff. ways to dry/preserve them. I have a vaccum packer and would like to use that. Would they still need to be dried before being packed? I read about a drying method using a black t-shirt and a light. The directions call for a light reflector..what exactly is a light reflector? I mean, what am i looking for? Any help is greatly appreciated. thanks a bunch.

Don't freeze fresh 'shrooms you will end up with a black muchwhen they thaw. You hae to dry them, I have never used the black t-shirt idea, but is seems easy enough. You don't need a reflector, just a light to place fairly close, I would think. Even a small fan would work great...maybe better 'cause you are not using heat.

hey, thanks. yeah, that was another concern- the heat issue. So will an ordinary fan that i have in my bedroom work? i just place the little guys on some wire mesh or something? blow air up or down on them? thanks again- big help
