Straw/Coir Tub

This thing is taking forever to pin. I cased it out probably saturday night. I still don't even really see any hyphael knots. It is a big ass 45 gallon tub. I got a whole bale of straw from michaels. The smaller ones, and a whole block of coir mixed together. This thing is too big to throw into the refrigerator. Any other ideas to get this bitch to pin?

I'm sure it will pin It's probably still colonizing the straw and coir. IMO. I could be wrong though. Hope you get pins soon.

Well, I did case after it was about 95% colonized. I read one of agar's old posts. He likes to case before it is fully colonized and does not let the casing layer colonize. So, I tried this. Wish me luck. If everything goes right and I get a decent pinset, I should get between 6-12 ounces if not more.

how much grain did you add to this whole bale and brick.
if you got 12 ounces on one flush i would shit my pants, from what i read straw usually doesn't make it past 1 or 2 flushes , but of course there are those that can get 7

I normally only use straw. You don't really get many flushes from it, but i've gotten some pretty nice ones. I got 6 ounces of a tub a third the size of this one, on just plain straw. The strain was penis envy. I doubt i'll get 12.
