I took up skateboarding for a short time. After only a week or so i almost snapped my arm at the elbow, the bone actually did get cracked. There fun, but there so fucken dangerous i won't touch one again. You've watched scarred haven't you?

yeah ive seen the show but i try to stay away, nothing but bad vibes ya know? i've had my share of gnarly falls but in the end if you stick with it its way worth it

I know what you mean, that show is evil. Me and my friends got stoned and watched a three hour marathon of it. By the end we felt completely numb. Skateboarding is a rush, i enjoyed it while it lasted.

Used to skate everywhere, was my primary mode of transportation for a few years in jr/high school. Was never good at the really fancy shit, but could do enough to never have to stop for an obstacle. In my day, I could ollie shopping carts and small children if need be.

Now I stick to snowboarding, at least there's a little cushion when you fall.

Yes it is, and I've got a wrist that still fucked up from 10 years ago to prove that.

Although last time I went boarding, I took a spill that put me on my ass for 3 days. I'd never been so happy to see an oxycontin as when I got home that night.

the only major injury i've had was a broken shoulder. other than that ive been knocked out once or twice but nothing to keep me away

Yeah, I got knocked out trying to take the big jumps @ snoqualmie central's park. Not a pleasant feeling waking up, still sliding down the hill on your back wondering wtf just happened.

Although back to skating, I've been missing it lately, tempted to pick up a long board.

Dude, I fucking rolled my ankles all the time, especially after I'd take it easy
for them to heal and roll them again when I tried to go all-out again.


After that, every time one would heal, I'd roll the other. Then take it easy,
and this process went on for a year and 1/2 or so and there was no way to
get better being injured all the time.

That's why I said,"Fuck it!", and quit.

I'll probably never do another kickflip..
