What blower for 24 x 18 x 5.8 filter

My friend is building a flowhood according to the directions on mycotopia's site. This flowhood uses a 24 x 12 filter, my friend bought a 24 x 18 so it would be taller. Mycotopia recommends at least a 495 cfm blower for their design but now we need a larger size blower. Any idea what size we should get? Is it possible to have the air blowing too fast/hard as long as it ain't blowing ur materials everywhere? Thanks!!!!

I don't know much about flow hoods, but I would definetly think it's possible to get things blowing too fast. Could you imagine trying to make a syringe?LOL The print would fly right out of your hands, or worse the syringe flys into you. Why don't you just cut the filter down a little?
