The Amican heart Ass.Says to cook with cast iron for the iron..

been doing that all my life, and my family a hundred or more years
before that, you dont get iron deficiencies when you cook with cast

i cook on teflon at home (which is probably worse) cause
it cleans up so easily, but i know people who won't eat off of anything but that expensive ass stoneware.
ahhhh ya gotta die of something.

I dont touch teflon, it's just not a great cooking surface IMO, I
lke solids, stainless, cast iron, aluminum... I can scrub the fuck
out of them if I need to and it's easy to season aluminum and
cast, with all three you preheat the pans before adding the lubricant

Titanium seems like the answer...

Ill be cycling and only really need 1 pot and 1 bowl, not a pot set like a lot of the lower end stuff seems to be.

The msr Titan kettle

This: This primus pot...

or something like this titanium pot

We'll see what i can find on the Backpackers stretch of broadway in Vancouver tommorow!

Must say.. i was disappointed with the GSI bugaboo aluminum pot set i ordered from MEC.

Thanks for the input everyone.

Glad shroomism replied!

MSR Compact stoves including Titanium sets and stainless steel.

MSR Expedition cookware.

Now the cookware I have is stainless steel MSR that my dad gave me from when he was younger, the pan's gotta be like 15 years old and it's still in beautiful condition, well used but far from retirement.

MSR is the real deal.
everything they make is highly engineered.
i have a snow peak titanium cook set
that was less expensive and it just collects
dust.
i have cooked dozens and dozens of meals
on my MSR Dragonfly and titan mug.
