Titanium Nail Oxidation (Head Shop Lied to Me)

A local shop ripped me off and lied to me about their $50 nail not being from China. Whoops, it was from China..

I wanted to make sure; what does the oxidation look like on such a nail? Mine looks like crap after 10 heat ups with a propane torch, all blotchish.

It has the normal spectrum (i.e. purple, blue, light green) but also some dark blotches.

Sounds like you're heating it up too hot. Do you get it like glowing red? I've had nails from China and while they definitely wore out faster and weren't as good it should be fine after 10 uses. Also my preference after dabbing a few years is quarts bangers the flavor is amazing!

My titanium nail oxidizes regularly if I heat it up to hot, titanium<quartz IME.

Quartz sounds good; alas the same headshop sells glass covered in quartz for $35.


fucking hell i think I'd like titanium better due to its indestructible nature. Yeah I get it slightly red.

The oxidizing shouldn't hurt your nail anyways.

Titanium is titanium we use it because it doesn't put off fumes when heated so as long as you don't melt it (haha) it'll be fine.

im sure its not good for it but u can tell if a quartz nail is real by like heating it up really hot n throwing it in water glass will jus shatter. thats how u clean them as a last resort once they gray n start to get old n shit n have throw it away too. also member u have to season quartz a bunch

It's very unshoomy of me but I left them their first 1 star review. I feel I overpaid and they lied to me and even said the brand. Of well, thanks you guys for making me feel better about the quality. I'll probably just use it as my spare nail to vape deems since it ruins the taste.

if u bought it at a headshop i can almost quarrentee you overpaid compared to having it shipped to your door even. online ive found to be almost more sketchy for fugazi nails but if u find a reputable dealer hands down the internet is better price for nails n stuff. The only thing i buy in the headshop is glass and even then i know too many local blowers to ever pay those prices i mean im sorry but the markup is crazy. it 2016 NO DEALZ
