have health insurance, still can't afford medical treatment

why is the co-pay so high? if i have health insurance shouldn't that actually make health care affordable?

that is the common misconception that the insurance companies want you to think before you purchase a plan. :nonono:

you can get the co-pay lower, around $10-$20, but your monthly premium will be higher.

the co-pay for an endoscopy (very simple medical procedure that takes about half an hour) was over $1,000. in order to assess the status of my stomach, i need another one. however, i can't afford to pay for one.
