I like free markets and all. Truly I do, at least in general, but there needs to be some kind of oversight in recognition of sustainability. Life works the same way, on a bunch of sustainable systems. Why not honor what made us what we are and take some lessons? Nature FTW!

I see American racism shifting almost totally from white/black to rich/poor in the next decade. Soon the saying will be, "The rich man is keeping me down." which is essentially what the original saying actually means.

Though I'm not sure if that answers the original question because I'm stoned out of my mind right now so if it's a little off topic forgive me hehe.

just because we might actually have a half black man elected president, it does not mean that the obvious effects of institutionalized racism will be negated immediately.

granted, though i feel the complaint about racism within the system is a scapegoat referenced too often by black activists, it does not mean that said racism is not very real and very influential. you guys saw the thread earlier, 1 in NINE black men aged 20-35 are behind bars. 1 in fucking nine.

one black man at the top won't change the decisions of a racist judge. it won't change the hiring practices of businesses. it won't change the behavior of biased government officials.

so yes, even if Obama is elected, the black man will still be able to legitimately complain about "the white man keeping him down".

Even black people are racist against other black people, it's not very common at all mostly black cops and rich refined black guys in suits who make sure every word they speak is in the most proper form.

i actually think that the democracts don't want to win, if they do they will be stuck with bushes shit and be blamed for it, instead they prob want the republicans to look even worse

so we have a black person that alot of blacks will vote for, then we have a white women that alot of women will vote for....everyone else is going to vote for mccain and he will win

A black co-worker of mine told me he was voting for Hillary, because Obama is a "traitor" to the black people. From what he explained to me, it seemed like he just didn't like the idea that he was half white...
