its total bullshit
i work ar places that hire like that...maybe its the right thing to do ? i really dont think so but... you do end up with people that not only "work" like a govenment worker but also have the entitled worker mindset....so things that should get done easily instead become akin to trying to push rope uphill...in the end i just do the best job i can so i can feel good about myself...still it sucks to watch people live off the government payroll, are shittly workers then bitch about that same job. the tax dollar in action i guess.

Well boo-hoo-hoo, affirmative action, wrong as it is, was put in place because of the well-established fact that people who are -not- white tend get a very bad deal in the workplace. This was and is still the case, otherwise there wouldn't -be- affirmative action stuff nor the whining whities associated with it.
Yes, I am white, yes, i agree that "affirmative action" is not the way and that it has majorly backfired. First a black man has no job because he "is dumb". Now a black man has a job and its immediately assumed he got favored "because of his skin-colour despite he lacks in skill".

You americans are fucked up when it comes to race. (heh to throw you all on an amorphous heap) Take this term "reverse racism" WTF is reverse racism?! When a black guy calls a white guy a cracker it is referred to as "reverse racism". When he gets a job due to skin quota or whatever it is often called "reverse racism".
What is this retarded shit. This is RACISM. Period. When you call it "reverse racism" you are basically saying: "hey we're supposed to discriminate you; this is turning things upside down!"
The term "reverse racism" is racist itself because racism goes all ways. When a homo gets tied to a fence (Matthew Shepherd) and kicked into a bloody pulp he doesn't give a flying fuck what color the skin of his assailants is. He is victimized by a HATECRIME and its the oppression of social groups defined by biological characteristics thats the culprit. This goes in all directions. If you treat people bad BECAUSE of the color of their skin then you are being RACIST, even if it is directed at your own race. 
Should true equality (including economic) be strived for? ofcourse. Any person of any race needs to get a fair shake. Are white people in the USA the ones who ought to reach out and lend a hand? ofcourse. On the AVERAGE the white people are privileged and better off so on the AVERAGE white people should lend a hand. Is this to be accomplished by combatting racism with racism? ofcourse not! If change starts in school it will be taken to the workplace and the change will be instilled in the offspring (any race intended) and when this comes full circle equality is achieved with no need for spastic politics. But yeah, this does indeed cost buck$ and these should be coughed up by the ones who've got greenback -regardless of race-.
Easy as a breeze.
