Puerto Ricans? POLL:
    #806368 - 08/09/02 05:35 AM (21 years, 7 months ago)

I've grown PR's numerous times and still have a closet full of spores. The problem is I've noticed that this strain tends to produce small shrooms at a very slow rate. Have any of you noticed similar behavior from this strain? What has been the largest producers of yield in your experiences?
thanx

the best yield I've had from a single flush was 750g from a 9" x 13" box.
The strain was..........you guessed it, Puerto Rican.
Here's a pic of that flush.

i found that the puerto ricans had very thin and willowy fruits.
they were like spaghetti or something.
the ones i grew weren't slow tho.
i wouldn't say they were BIG mushrooms, but not exactly small either. just thin and willowy.
could very well be your condition. but who knows.

What was your substrate? I just got a print in the mail, that is why I am asking.

When I did PR's on cakes the stems were pretty thin but on casings, boy I had some tall fatties! Quite a few big enough to print. They were slow to colonize but pretty quick to fruit. Wish I had a camera.
I used brf substrate and peat/verm casing. I'm trying some on a weird poo mix as an experiment but they haven't fruited yet.
