 Puerto RIcan strain newbie friendly?

Hey,
I have 4 Puerto Rican syringes and i was wondering if the strain is newbie friendly? When i ordered it i didnt do much research on the strain. I hear it is a little hard to grow, this true? What should i watch out for? Any overall advice?

Every spore website I've visited lists PRs as a good strain for beginners because of it's very fast colonization and potency in the mature fruit bodies. I'll be attempting PRs next month once my MAZ jars go into the Pod.
From a lot of recommendations with PRs as a newbie I only plan on fruiting them from cakes in the Hydra-Pod because the PRs are pretty notorious for fast overlay with casings. Good luck with your grow!

I just finished growing my first batch of mushrooms and guess what, they were puerto ricans. I had no past growing experience and just used the pf tek and also the sea of shrooms tek. I got all of my information off of this website. So my advice would be to read as much of this site as you can, and you'll have no problem. good luck

I think they're more stubborn than some strains. And I'll never deal with em again I think they suck...
Just my opinion though.

Hungy? Well i ordered 1 syringe from spore works, they shipped it 3 weeks late because of technical problems and they sent me 4 syringes!

In what way are they stubborn? Why do you think they suck? Just trying to get as much info from the pro's as i can.

Ok I'm refering to the vibe they provide when i say they suck.
Overly hyped in my opinion. Not my kinda vibe.
They yeild pretty weak and are slow growing and ugly lookng to me. Came from dung. Overlayed and had shitty yeilds a passably strain for me. Others really like it though.
I found it to be a waste of time and won't deal with em again.
Not my cup of tea.
You might like em though everyone is different...
My recommendation for an easy and good vibe strain would be Mazatapec or Ecuador.
Those are more my style...

I say fuck Puerto Ricans. Their only saving grace is the fast colonization time they posess. They are a son of a bitch to pin. I know as they were my first grow. I say go for a better strain like B+ or Mazatapec.

This whole discussion is BS. Apart from maybe Penis Envy, all cube "strains" possess more or less similar characteristics. If you can't get good results with Puerto Ricans then you won't get good results with B+ or in fact any other strain either. A strain is just a strain. They are all cubensis. It depends on the cultivator, nothing else.

lol... one time i was trippin on some puerto ricans like 5ys ago and i was on call for work and they called me in. I can remember the shift supervisors face just morphing and the conveyor belt just rolling like waves.....freakin crazy!!! Needless to say i had to go home sick
