Fruiting cake contamination ?

My cake has had its first harvest, and now is in its second fruiting cycle.
It's now slowly becoming blueish. That is that there are blue dots, like a french blue cheese, the color is the same the one when you harvest a shroom and it's turning blue because of the oxydation.
I have two growing mushrooms that look really healthy on this cake.
I've never read about contamination of a cake. It's always discussed when the substrate is still in the Jar.
I have no digital camera.
So:
- Do you think my cake is contaminateed?
- If so, can I harvest my healthy-looking mushrooms?

Sounds OK to me. It's probably dehydrated (drying out), dunk it after this harvest.
It could also be bruising, or where previous harvested fruit were pulled from the cake.
As long as its blue, its OK

Well, thank you for the answer.
That?s true, I can imagine it?s not wet enopugh.

I tried to take pictures of it, but it?s with my webcam, so it?s really poor quality.
In real, the blue is lighter but more all over the cake.
Anyway, have a look:

I, too, have had some recent contams on already-fruited cakes. My contams were greenish-gray, though, and I had to toss the cakes...hope yours don't turn out the same. Mine weren't fruiting in their second flush, though...I'd stick it out if I were you...

it could possibly be pennicillum mold, i had that as well, and it looked exactly the same =) ...so how do you get rid of it? just bleach dunk it in 200:1 for 5 min, that will rid you of the blue!! and if it isnt, well then, you can look forward to very white cakes =) ......oh ya the blue type of pennicillum mold is completley harmless....it grows on old bread.
