Fruiting cakes or casing?
    #738378 - 07/11/02 05:34 AM (21 years, 2 months ago)

Got my setup just about finished, ordered my spores and once they arrive I'll be ready to go once again. It's been a while since I've grown and alot of new teks have come out, so I'm a little unsure of whether to fruit from cakes until they are spent, then case them, or if I should immediately take the cakes and start my casings from there? Possibly case with a cake or two and fruit the rest, or make multiple casings? Any input will be helpful as always. Thanks!

personally, i'd go multiple casings. I think casings just look so much nicer. But you definantly don't wanna put all your peas in one pod. Cakes are good too, but personally.. i actually think casing is easier. (rh is more manageable)

Do majority of cakes as casings and the rest cakes

Out of 10 6-8 casings and the remainder cakes.

This will help you practice both teks and see what kind of yields they will generate from both. Casings will take longer but the flush will be mo betta.

good luck
