I have a friend in North Carolina and in few in South Carolina. All of them pick Cubensis throughout certain parts of the year. Right now, pickins' slim to none here in Georgia and little better in Florida. I doubt theres anything in the Carolinas this time of year. The closer you get to the coast the better the fields will treat cha. Because of constant humidity of course. Anyway theres definately Cubensis in your area, maybe not in abundance but their out there. As for hunting in private fields, risky! I do it all the time, but I have also been run off my share of times. Pick a safe field thats easy to enter without being seen. Try to find a field that you don't have to park next to. Try to find a nearby parking lot, or ride bike, something? Once your in the field be cautious, sit and wait after you've entered, to see if anyone is aware of your presence. Then begin your search, keeping all your senses alert for trouble(farmers, dogs, helicopters, etc...) Once you have visited a field so many times, you;ll now which ones are risky and which ones are safe. Just try not to get shot in the process. Good luck pickin' Let me know if you have more ?'s.
