Need to know about poppies

ok my mom has tons of pink flowered poppies growing in her garden i just harvested a zip loc bag full off seeds i was wondering if there active i dont know the strain even if there not active and i drink the tea could i die or get poisoned (theres no poisonuos strains right??) also what is the recommended dosage and
is there any sites besides poppies.org that i can take a look at

How big are the poppies? What do the flower look like? (ordinary 4 petals, or double?) I should think they are papaver somniferum.. Are the stems hairy? like really hairy, not a few hairs here and there. I dont know the dosage for poppy seeds tea, but I think you could give it a try, with something like 3 g to start with, and make your way up.. Dont take it too often, though.. Could you have some pics of thoses poppies? see ya

There is not any alkaloid in the seeds, if it is its extremely low dose. I heard someone ate some oz of seeds and got some effects though, but that is probably more due to the fact that some latex had come on the seeds while still in the pods. My brother like eating the seeds as he think they taste well, he eat like 1-2 oz of it at each time. No effects of it however.

I love to eat poppy seeds, have to buy the ones for human consumption as they are cheaper than eating the finest genetics.
