mushroom hunting on south vancouver island

hi everyone, i've been reading these forums for a while but only today registered for an account. i'm looking for any kinds of mushrooms (hallucinogenic, edibles, whatever

) on south vancouver island, BC. unfortunately i think it's probably still much too dry around here, i've been going to provincial parks without much luck.

the only thing i've found have been princes, ironically on my own street under cedars. any trek outside of my own neighborhood has turned up nothing.

i'd really love to find some amanitas. so is anyone from around here?
