drying method?

heres a thought is it posible to dry out mushrooms in salt? just placing shrooms into a big bag of salt an let sit mix about every day or so? seems like it might work we did the same thing when mumifying lil chickens back when i was in jr high. and i know about desicant(sp) and im looking for a alternative.

if you can do it today put it off till tommorow cause odds are it isnt really that important and probably doesnt even need to be done at all.

Yeah it should work to somewhat of a degree. Just fan them dry first so the salt won't go soggy or anything so ya don't get moister fed back to the mushroom. Also, if it doesn?t work at least they will be dry from fanning. Your totally legal mushrooms will taste a bit salty though .

Use epson salt i think thats what its called and bake the salt for 45 minutes first.

I would fan dry it for 24 hours then use the salt like you would use damp rid.

stwangetweezer, that methode dries outt he salt, so you can use it as a desiccant.
