ok so i made some jars, but couldnt use them. i was just wondering if after a week or two will they still be ok to innoculate? i was planning on using up a syringe before i moved, and so i dont have to buy more materials.

As long as there isn't any mold or anything else growing in them, then you should be fine. It should've grown contaminants in them by now so i suppose it's ok.

there should be enough moisture in them still. if you pc em again make sure to put some AL foil over the top to prevent more h2o escape. personally if its a week id just innoculate.

they look normal to me, there is foil on them now. its really been two or closer to three weeks. its only 4 jars so its no big deal if i cant use them, but id like to cuz im moving.

I've heard of cases of people leaving jars for 6 months + before innoculating. As long as they've been sterilised properly, they should last for months if not years. I'd just use them.

Don't make the mistake I did.One time I made BRF jars and didn't sterilize them. Within a week they were fully colonized. Only I didn't inoculate them, they were 100% covered in gray mold.

ok thanks, i innoculated the other 3 today with koh samui. same as the first jar. the other 3 are about 2 weeks behind. the one jar is probably half colonized. but they looked pretty moist so i went ahead an did the other 3.
