Me too. I smoke really ridiculous amounts of marijuana everyday, it would be nice to cut back for a while. I just got to keep it out of arms reach. It's hard when your roommates are constantly rolling joints and stinking up the house with stanky ass dank.

I agree with whoever said you have to take at least a couple weeks off if you've been smoking everyday because your brain becomes cloudy 24/7 and REAL sobriety is when you've stopped for a good amount of time.

You do realize that that is mostly due to tolerance right?

If you smoke half as big bongloads just as often, within a few days you will get just as high as you are doing now. That was such an ephiphany when I found that out.

If you are smoking really much, spend 3-5 days with each day smoking half of the day before, and then quit. The concensus is that for most people it is far less hard than they thought it would be. Thats psychological addiction for you: an inner demon who whispers in your ear that it cant be done.

QFT. In my opinion, it takes at least 6 months to be completely sober and stabilizing in that might take a year.

Your brain adapts to reality by physically changing its wiring. (neuroplasticity) Right now it is wired for STON3D life. It has to rewire itself (which comes naturally) for sober life and that takes many months. Those months are a transition period where you regain your center.

Pick up fun activities. Try meditation for the other kind of contemplative inertia. Don't replace being stoned with not doing anything.

Any drug if taken to excess frequently will produce lasting changes that remain after quitting. For me personally, I feel this happened to me with cannabis as well. I feel less imaginative and less able to concentrate than I always have been.

I prefer smoking once or twice a week rather than 24/7. It seems to get rid of any negative side effects and I get extremely baked each time.

Being high all day every day can be nice in certain circumstances, but if I have a lot of responsibilities at the time it just doesn't work.

How bout we start a thread and anyone who wants to can post that they're going to participate in the "take a break from weed" experiment. I want to see what percentage of the people give positive feedback, and how many give negative.

Sounds fun to me.:grin:

i couldnt believe it today

was offered hash on the street by someone i know and knocked it back

its the first time in years its been thrown at me,i usually had to rely on one guy for weed and now that ive quit its in my face

i honestly think its evil now :lol:
