Have no experience with the jiffy mix, could it be that the casing layer is too dry?

What I would do is, get some of that manure, microwave pasteurise it, squeeze to capacity, then just case the trays with a half inch or so of it. Since you already have the millet in the trays, I wouldn't disturb it again in order to spawn the dung (although you could).

Or, you could just wait it out. The uncased one should be in a fruiting environment now, and the others should be covered in an incubation environment until some mycelium has peeked through.

how moist is your casing layer?
Also what is the temp and humidity of your terranium?

cut air holes in the top. ive found putting mine in those Glad containers with out any air exchange keeps them from colonizing the casing. (mine are usually full to the top.) ive waited 2 weeks like that and the mycellia never even began to grow into the casing. it was discouraging because it was my first time casing, and i was told to be patient. well i waited a few more days..still nothing what so ever, not even a hint (i was looking thru the plastic on the sides not from the top of the casing.) i thought my cakes somehow died. well when i took the lid off and cracked it, boom, within 3 days it started taking over. i think they were starved for some O2. has anyone else ever noticed this? ive always heard to keep them covered...

For some reason it seems that mycelium will only colonize a non-nutritive layer when it has a fresh air supply. Colonizing a nutritive substrate is accomplished very quickly when the mycelium is starved for air.
