So my Dad told me he doesn't like my X-Mas present today.

I actually put a lot of thought into it too.  He loves family photos and stuff like that so I got him a digital picture frame, and spent hours scanning in and fixing up old family photos.  He said he doesn't see himself using it and told me to take it back.

What the fuck.  :shocked:  Oh well, at least he was honest.  :shrug:

How do you "Not Use" a digital picture frame?

Its a picture frame!

He's technologically retarded, but I was gonna teach him how to use it. I dunno, it still hurt my feelings...

When it comes to dads, just get them a tie.
Maybe they'll never use it, but at least you didn't spend too much on it.

I can understand how it would hurt your feelings to have a gift you put some thought into be rejected like that.  However, as you said, at least he was honest and said something about it.  So instead of having something he won't enjoy you can find something else that he will use a lot or enjoy more (and maybe even find something on holiday sale).

I had to tell my dad this year that most of the clothes my mom bought me i wouldn't wear.  Every year i have to go through this with them, i'm really hard to buy clothes for and would much rather have a gift cert or just have them take me on a shopping trip.  This way they get to give me a gift, i get something i will enjoy and use, and we all end up happy.  It sure does suck having to say you don't like what you were given though, it really made me feel ungrateful, but the rents didn't mind (albeit my mom was a tad miffed :wink: ) at least :smile:
