my local grocery store got morels!

but they are $40 a pound! :mad:

If it was spring, I would go out, gather as many as i could, keep half to eat, then sit in front of giant eagle and sell them for half the price. $40...

I know they are out of season, but come on! who has that kind of money to spend on delicious morsels?!

at $40 a pound, they might as well have a little bit of cocaine in each mushroom...

My idea was to bring it up to the front, and tell them it was the maitake mushrooms, so i get them 4.75 times cheaper. People honestly don't know their mushrooms. I bet i could get away with it.:evil:

it's giant eagle market district. I was surprised too. I'm 100% sure they imported them, theres no other way they could have them.

But in all seriousness I'm probably going to go get 1/2 pound to support what they are doing. Mushrooms are an awesome part of cooking, and they just recently started to stock more varieties. It's something that i have to support. Especially over the winter when i can't get my own goodies.

Well, technically it's possible to cultivate them. And if they are cultivated, I think it's a fair price :shrug:
