use an image editor and cut/paste the pic so that only the mushroom is visible

Just as AIRDOG said, use an image editor to reduce size and/or quaility. I use a program called scan wizard that has an image editor called smart saver. It allows you to convert pics in to jpg, gif, etc... and reduce the image size to 20K.

If you don't have such a program, E-mail your images to me and I'll post them for you.
