Excellent photos. There's enough detail to teach some of these people how to identify the species there. I'm looking forward to more.

Pictures were taken with 12 years old Canon EOS 650. I usually use slow (ISO 50) slide film like Fujichrome velvia. I always use only natural light, very long exposition times (up to 30 seconds) & iris >= 19.

The camera is not that important. Good pictures can be taken also with small digital cameras, just turn off the flash and get a small tripod.

Thanx! I'll update this post with other Amanitas.
Note that I'm never 100% sure about my ID's. Please correct me if you think that I made an missidentification.

Nice pics, maye you should take pics of some of the bases of the mushrooms.

That one does not look like a panther, should be more brownish. Here's a lousy pic of a panther.

Ahhh.. most gorgeous Amanita muscaria..

I have not yet seen this mushroom in the flesh..

I have heard various reports of this mushroom growing every year on the northwest coast of Florida (The PanHandle),
Mainly in Pensacola Florida..

Never before seen this soma mushroom here in southern Fla.

I want to eat them.

Thanks, I will put that first photograph on as my wallpaper..

Keep shroomin zeroiono_dude,

Keep shroomin,
GG

I was thinking the same thing about the Pantherina. I usually only take the chocolate brown ones, but some are lighter in color. My guess is also that it is Rubscens (can't spell it, lol)

"My guess is Amanita rubescens."

The picture is not very good for making an ID since we cannot see the stem
but from the notes I took when the picture was taken (couple of years ago) I wasn't sure if it's
Amanita rubescens, Amanita spissa (excelsia) or Amanita pantherina.

It wasn't reddish enough to be rubescens,
it was too big for pantherina and the cap wasn't like spissa's: http://www.grzyby.pl/gatunki/Amanita_spissa.htm
But the stem features were pointing more to spissa than to others.

I have also Amanita rubescens pictures, I just have to find them. I'll update the post sometime.
