shitty side effects - advice?

I guess I need a little advice and comforting here. I just tripped for the 3rd time on Saturday, around sunset, but this is the first time I've had significantly bad side effects afterwards. They're not terrible, but I am a little worried.

I tripped on shrooms at a big music festival, and it was really fun for a while, though I did feel a little like I had to maintain control of myself through it when I was around people, which was most of the time. Near the end my back started hurting and I started getting really annoyed at people and wanted to be alone in my tent. I felt kind of pissy and annoyed in general and just didn't feel so well, then I couldn't get to sleep for a while. My friend who I was doing it with had already come off it so I was by myself in tripdom. We took half an 1/8 each, but I think I am easily affected by drugs, alcohol too.

Anyway, now I've been feeling anxious and kind of like I'm on coffee alot of the time, even though I'm not. Yesterday when I tried to take a nap I couldn't get to sleep, I just lay there for about 45 mins. Its true that I haven't slept great since I tripped, and I don't know if that's a side effect itself or the moon or something, but I usually don't feel like this. I'm also kind of feeling spaced out alot of the time, and I have reduced concentration. My body feels like its tired alot but my mind seems like its still buzzing, but spacy sometimes too. And of course when I worry about it I get more anxious.

So, what I would like to know is if this is not so unnormal and if it will go away soon or late. Also, is there anything I can do for it, like drink lots of water, smoke pot, meditate, etc.? I really appreciate any help you guys can give me. Thanks so much!

Wait... so you tripped 3 times in a day?
If this is correct, your problem is your are doing too much, space it once in 2 weeks, gives your mind and body enough rest. As for suggestions, on the day of the trip, don't eat any junk food, just eat some light healthy food, some fruits too. And yes drink quite a bit of water, no soda or anything, we are trying to eat healthy. As for weed don't do any until end of your shroom peak, to prolong the trip.
As for meditation, i highly suggest you do a little for every trip you take, its a must for me. If you have any questions about how you should meditate, feel free to ask!

I recommend meditation, sounds like you need to center yourself.
Sit quietly for 1/2 hour, just concentrate on your breathing. If your mind wanders with thoughts, thats fine, just notice this and bring your attention back to your breath.
Sounds like you released some latent energy when your tripped.Could also be your ego feeling a little damaged, and its not uncommon to feel a little buzzy and wound up a few days after tripping.
Try the meditation, relax, pamper yourself, eat well and talk to your friends.

No, not 3 times in one day, 3 times period. The first was in the beginning of May and the second was probably about a month or more later. Thanks for the advice, I guess I just need to relax and stop worrying so much.

Yes, learn to meditate. It will do wonders for you trips and the rest of your life. Anxiety is mostly imaginary. If you go to bed expecting not to sleep, you won't. I feel kind of weird for up to two weeks after tripping, but it goes away.

To whoever asked if I was still feeling side effects, I am. I'm not as anxious as was, though I just started getting a little right now for the first time today. Mostly I'm still spaced out and I just got really tired. These things are having quite the lasting effect on me. I hope they go away.

And to the hummus man, tell your girlfriend to stop stereotyping. Hummus is good though.

I hate to be the one to say this but the Cosmic Void is not for everyone! I have quite a bit of experience with people who have done lots of acid and shrooms many year ago and are very very burnt out 25 years later. While others who did the same amounts are leading normal lives. I think that a small % of people are so highly sensitive that tripping can have long term effects. I believe this only because I have seen it myself.

Ok dude. Tripping is a very intense expierence on your mind which can leave you a little wierded out after a trip. I have felt the affects you are talking about. Dont listen to most of these idiots specially shroom assasain. This kind of thing 9/10 will just go away after time. Its kinda like grieving after a loved one has passed. You gotta except what has happened and move on with your life, but a small piece of it will always stay with you.

Best advice i can giveyou is to NOT worry about it. Worrying will only amplify it. Pick up a new hobby, and try to avoid thinking about it.

Avoid psychadelics for a while and if weed makes it worse id avoid that too for a while.

Well thanks for everyone's comments, they definitely made me feel better and less worried. Most of it did finally go away. The Friday after (I took them the previous Saturday) I felt more dumb and burnt than I had the whole time, maybe ever. I was sure that I was going to be dumb and slow forever. And then the next day I felt better, I could start to think again. I also took this herb called Anemone on Friday as per the recommendation of a friend, and that might have helped.

I'm not sure if I'm totally back to normal, I still feel a little spacy alot of the time and concentrating on learning something does seem to be a bit more difficult, or maybe just a different process. But I think I'll be ok. Thanks again.
