The problem is the alternative minimum tax, or the AMT. In 2006, about four million people were subject to the tax that ensures all Americans pay some minimum amount of tax regardless of how high your income is and how many deductions you qualify for. Each year th exemption amount must be approved by Congress. This year, Congress has yet to approve an exemption for the AMT.

Not everyone pays the AMT, so it may not affect you, but what does affect you, is that the IRS can't print tax forms until Congress makes a decision.

technically, tax refund means you gave the IRS a free loan, and should probably reevaluate your taxes anyways.

I know how I'm getting elected President.

I call it the Human Caloric Energy Estimated Income Tax Revision.

Its not a tax rebate.

Its zero income tax and zero estimated income tax for people who burn more than 500 cal/hr at their job.

If I have to pay taxes this year, I'm gonna send them a pair of my sweaty boxers and credit my tax bill $2.00.
