Downward Pin Advice

I cased around a half pint of BRF/Verm with straight vern about a week ago. I used clear tupperware and it actually began pinning before I was ready...before I was actually exposing it to light and temp changes on purpose. I didn't have the bottom wrapped in foil yet and now I have around 50-60 pins one side...many growing downward, some growing up and some that are still straight out from the side.
I'm wondering if I should try to split the casing in two...leaving the half with the ood pins as it is...and turning the other half 90 degrees so all the pins on the side are now facing up. There arent _many_ pins on the top (that I can see) on the messed up side, so I think it might be a smart trade off...
Anyway, any opinions are welcome.
Thanks

Oh, BTW, these are TX. They took forever to colonize, but pinned very easily. I cased last friday and tried to incubate for another 3-5 days...but they pinned on their own in the incubator within 3 days after casing. I can see close to 50 pins, not counting the hyphal knots still forming all over.
I'll have prints for trade in a few more days, but I don't think I'll try this strain again because it just takes so long to colonize. In three different runs, not one finished in under 4 weeks.

Was this ok to do? Considering most of the pins were on that side...it seemed reasonable at the time...
