Thank fucking Zappa. That guy is no good at all outside of Fenway and I heard rumors the Yanks were offering him first base for way too much dough. Oh, did you hear? Posada, Rivera and Rodriguez are coming back to the Yanks.

Mike Lowell is cool. I'd trade George Bell for him straight up!!

I don't care if he's no good outside Fenway - he was amazing this past year, and hopefully he'll continue to be.
Yes, I heard about the Yanks signing Posada, Rivera and Rodriguez - smart move by Arod going back to NY, and smart move by the Yanks signing him, given that he basically carried the team a lot of last year. Oh, and did you hear? The Red Sox the World Series.

I had read that the Yankees had absolutely zero interest in him at all, and were just making a bid to keep the Red Sox honest.

Yeah makes sense. Yanks' first base will be interesting this year between Duncan and Giambi. I wish they'd re-sign Mientkiewicz, his glove is great even if his bat sucks and he costs a pittance to sign.

The Red Sox barely budged on their original offer to him, and I'd say we got him for a very reasonable amount, both in terms of the years of his contract and the dollar amount.
