Dried out myco bags! Help!

Ok, so someone from sporeworks emailed me telling me it would be fine to put a small heat blanket on a low setting underneath the myco bags to provide heat, but now I've been told that the heat killed my spores, and I've also been told that spores don't die until 106 degrees, and that it should be fine. I innoculated a week ago with treasure coast, and I'm seeing no mycelium. The substrate is still moist in the middle and on top, but dry on the bottom. What should I do? Are the bags okay? Should I put a towel between the heat pad and the bags? Should I give up? Should I get more spores? please help or i'll go insane.... love, chris

When I cook rye in the pressure cooker the kernals on top are dryer and the kernals on the bottom are pretty wet. This is why you shake the jars before innoculation. Therefore, I suggest you shake them.
