Myco-bag questions
    #1045259 - 11/11/02 11:40 PM (21 years, 30 days ago)

Hey guys, well I got my myco-bag and mazatapec syringe on the 8th and followed instructions and stuff that I have read about here,I wipe the needle and injector site with rubbing alchohal.
I injected 3cc of spores on the 8th,I injected the spores where the substrate and bag touch,on both sides. It is 4 days latter and the myco-bag has been in a box standing up with the flaps closed and the temp were probably around in the 80's because I had the box sitting next to a radiator. After reaing a buch of people say to massage the bag and mix all the substrate up,I did it to day, will this help it colonize quicker?
Also today it got kinda warm and the radiators wern't on so a putt a couple towels over the box to try and keep the bag warmer, the 3 days before today the bag stayed warm.
At what day should I start seeing growth?
Any info would be great from those of you that have or have tried myco-bags!
Thanks

keep it 80-85. watch for condensation inside the bag, if there is condensation, your good to go, if there's not, it's dry, and you won't expect to see anything, unless you inject it with sterilized water or get new bags. Wait at least 2-3 weeks. I got my first signs of growth in about 10 days for treasure coast, over 21 days for Thailand Koh Samui.

Alright thanks for the info.
Was it a good idea for me to massage and mix the substrate around on day 4?
Thanks
