No one to my knowledge is staying that they don't exist. Yet they have not been proven to exist. Yet often when dealing with things that are difficult to prove people will misinterpret subjective experience to conform to their personal beliefs as in "What the thinker thinks the prover proves". This often creates beliefs that miss the mark by a far margin.
