I read his speech about what he wants and it sounds very intelligent, but really, killing random people in a school is not going to change anything.
I can agree with militancy a lot of the time- the Weather Underground, for example, but this guy really just seems like someone overcome with the sorrow of the world and misdirecting his anger. If he'd robbed a bank, blown up a weapon's factory or taken down a corporation, I'd have some solidarity with what the guy did. However, all he has done is increase the grief in the world.
May he, and those he killed all rest in peace.

This guy has some pretty crazy ideas after reading through his speech. Here is a perfect example,
Quote:
Only superior (intelligent, self-aware, strong-minded) individuals should survive while inferior (stupid, retarded, weak-minded masses) should perish.
There is also another solution to the problem: stupid people as slaves and intelligent people as free.
Can someone explain to me who decides on who is superior and who is weak and stupid?

He's not that bright. Realizing that the people of the world are horrid and imperfect takes little more than an idiots IQ. It's just a matter of perspective.

my husband's friends mother is the assistant vice principal of the school in jokela. she was in the principal's room when she heard him shooting and shouting "i'm going to fucking kill you all ha ha ha"
she hid under the desk the whole time and was safe. but the principal was shot execution style..forced to kneel and he shot her multiple times. she could have escaped and she did at first...but she decided to go back into the school after hearing a bunch of shots.
i don't know what to think about this...auvinen's thoughts are too extreme left/right...he didn't end up killing people who he thought were unfit, he just ended up randomly shooting people. he shot the school nurse just cause she was in the way...tending the children who were shot
i feel very sorry for his family who are getting death threats, cause obviously their son hid his thoughts very well from them. his mom though, follows a man who is considered an ecofacist (Pentti Linkola)..so there could be some inspiration from her words which also made him follow pentti linkola as well...dunno
it's too bad it happened here in finland, but it's bound to happen anywhere in this world. usually kids pekka-eric's age go through some stage where they hate everything but unfortunately he just went loopy.

It's not who, but what. In nature it's natural selection, survival of the fittest. As a result of the human race being civilized we do not have the luxury of natural selection. Therefore all the genetic defects and unintelligent humans live on, reproduce, and bring into the world more beings that would otherwise be struck down by the principles of Darwinism.

he went on a killing spree, i see that having very little in common with his extremist ideas. jesus, if you wanna go over the top don't apologize your needs with made-up political views, just say you're pissed off and have no excuse but you're going to go do it anyway because it seems like the only sensible thing left to do.

He went on a killing spree to weed out those individuals that he felt would have perished due to natural selection if it weren't for our civilized living. He has no place to decide who deserves to live or die, but at least the guy had convictions and stuck with them to the end. If you see his killing spree as having little to do with his extremist ideas maybe you should take a look at his ideas one more time.

I think Pentti Linkola is one of the few honest people.
Someone made a video about the Jokela shootings that tells about all of it.
I am sorry to see Finnish people die, unless they were unfit. I have only positive thoughts of Finland.

You're projecting your own views onto him. He saw the root of those problems as being people's sheepishness.

so let's get this straight...auvinen said that he wanted to kill those who he saw as "unfit," but at the end, he just ended up killing people at RANDOM. to me, that didn't seem like he went along the lines of his manifesto..he was just a gun crazy lunatic who targeted innocent people at his school. he didn't even know those kids, or at least, he didn't kill kids whom he knew and profiled as being "unfit." they were basically people within his target range.
he's not a martyr...all he's done is caused grief for his family and the town he lived in. so far, the majority of finns will remember him as some troubled messed up teen not as some person who preached sanity and logic.

i don't think he was a gun crazy, i feel most of what he says in his manifesto and yes, i've felt i'd like to go and destroy everyone in my path to: without discrimination, a one way killing trip, ending it with me. it's not about any families or communities - it was DEEPLY individual. it's beyond a border where it doesn't matter if you are alive or dead.
