Queensland ... are these copes???? please help

ey i found these in a cow padic down beenliegh wayish.... the spore print is black.. they're fairly strong mushrooms... ive only ever hunted p.sub so im not sure on these.... i know there not cubes.... can sum1 help me out ... is there none active look alikes or are these them?

Nope. That is the non-active Panaeolus antillarum. There is some new latin name for Pan antillarum I haven't memorized yet. Somebody chime in with that name..

Picked a haul of Cubensis' today in a cow paddock that is littered with fungus, and I live on the Gold Coast. The season has definately begun!

ahaha a bit of both move around state 2 state why not ? :P

wasnt the main reson i came up but as soon as i relised it was that time of year ... i cant seem to stay away from the cows now...  i love how all the butterflys fly around u whilest picking/tripping and the cows just sit there watching u or eating grass.. so peace fulll big diffrence to hunting in melb/syd when i pick a hand full and turn around to show me ex gf and theres a cops watching me show her... or picking in the middle of 2 busy main roads in melbourne... its so much nicer :laugh: i love it.. and yeah i guess i jsut went into the rong paddock ... the rest had no problems :smile:

The one with the whitish gills appears to be an albino (sporeless) Psilocybe cubensis.

well yes i knwo its shroom season and yes i usally have a 100 and 1 photos of nature shots 2 post... but this cow paddock hunting is a totaly diffrent ball game then hunting in melbourne and ive copd 1 chase from cops on bikes and seached a 2nd time
both times didnt nab me BUT FFS! i had to throw the digi camrea and the bag full of cubes.... scared the fuck outa me so this is why i dont take my camrea anymore .... well in queensland anyways.... ne ways... last week got bout 400 cubes... then the fuken floods fuked everything (south side)
so tryed up north near nambour and onli got 2 cubes in the last 3 weeks of checking these spots.. but!!!!!!!! look how many copes there are... normaly i ionli find bout 20 copes and a couple hundred cubes... wats the go with this can some explain?.... is there 2 sorta diffrent times these grow... or wah.....

ne ways heres the flicks if anyone can gimmie some pointers.... on ways 2 stay safe in a paddock... * clothing or sumfin :S * please feel free 2 give me anyideas... * asking 2 take fotos of the shrooms dosnt work... they called the cops :frown: *

shroomkma,

a word of advice. mushrooms are not worth getting in trouble over. if you do not have permission from a land owner to be on the property then i would recommend not hoping any fences.

copes are the bomb! They can take over when the temperatures drop... or when theres not as much rain (at least around here)

The cubes in the hat are chunky, same region but I rarely see one that fat. Stay outta trouble. Had no idea the blue boys were that active there. Did you get the camera back?
