Wow!! Do you think it'd be as easy for you to find those wood-chip varieties down under? Some of those Australian and New Zealandian mushrooms are so colorful! Aside from Paul's book, I remember seeing Ps. eucalyptus and Ps. australiana somewhere else, maybe on the web. Can you help me out? I'd like to show those to my wife. Paul's Ps. eucalyptus' aren't fully fruited and kinda bend over and look unhealthy. Duh!-I just remembered your Australia guide! You're the man! Hey, can I save those picks to my hard drive for quick reference? Stay cool!-Levi7.

Gymnopilus junonius. What the...? Never heard of it. Have you got any pics, MJ? Are they common? I might try and "hunt" some and photograph them. That would make for an interesting find/thread! Also, how did you make the print bigger for "Australia"? Good one, MJ - thanx from all the aussies on here!

Industrial detergeant! That rocks! I hunted my heart out for that Big Laughing Gym one year, but never found it! I was in Missouri, where it should be active. Now that I'm in WA, if I found it, it would do me no good. Well, I might cook it up with some Lysol to clean my insides out ha! Stay cool!-Levi7.

Euphoric enlightenment is not my only interest with mushrooms. It's mostly my interest. The other part is a nature/photograhy thing.

okay - the species in question is a foul smelly orange fucker that grows on rotting logs in dense bushlands. It tastes bitter and takes about forty fresh specimens to feel anything at all....Stick to the Subs!! (check out erowid - under mushies, and there is John Allen's book on Australian Shroom posted there for you)

The piccys all turned out a little doggy (focus wise), but ive got a great one coming when i develop my next film of 17 Eucys, from pine head, up to a whopper (6.5cm cap, stem 12cms and 1.2cms thick!!) Should give a good idea of how they look at every stage of fruiting
