CapnMax sez he will be able to get these cultures soon.He hasn't mentioned the price yet,except to say that it will be less than FP (I'd hope so!).

I waited almost 2 months for mushroompeople to send me one,then when I finally got ahold of them to ask what the deal was,they told me they had "lost" (ie contaminated) theirs and were searching for a replacement.

I want to get started on these while it's still hot out...

this is also a interesting species, look at the high fruiting temp range (80-90degF). great for chinese food or stir fry

for a culture check out fungi.com cultures

Unfortunately,FP charges 99$ for theirs!
Hopefully 3M can come through with this.I'm gonna try in my backyard with a long plastic row cover to keep the humidity up.

You can always tell a lame Vietnamese,Chinese,etc restaurant when they use button mushrooms instead of these....

I believe Max will be selling his cultures in either a tube or plate for US$25 each. I also believe he'll be selling pre-colonized spawn (sawdust or seed).

I'll let him fill folks in on the details.
