WTF? Most growers who cultivate wood lovers use supplemented sawdust/woodchips which must be sterilized due to the wheat, rice, or oat, etc., bran that is mixed in.

In addition, what makes wood a "low-in-nutrient" substrate??? The majority of edible/medicinals and the most potent psilocybes grow on wood.
