Aren't you sposed to eat the P. harmala before consuming the shrooms, not add it to the substrate? :-/

Or you can add it to the substrate so you don't have to choke it down along w/ shrooms.Just not sure of the ratio. If I have a 1 pint jar that will produce 6-8 grams, which is 2-3 trips do I need 6-9 grams of rue to potentiate the shrooms?seems like a lot of rue for the substrate.I will probably only do it with 2-3 jars to make a test run and compare to the other 'normal' jars.If it works ,like it should ,I can have roughly 2x the use out of em.

would the shrooms really pick up the chemicals from the harmala? .....never heard of such things.

I don't think the fungus uses harmala to make psiloc(yb)in. If you can get your hands on pure tryptamine, or at least tryptophan, and add that to your substrate, it would increase the potentcy i think. (or so I've read...don't take my word for it)

Why is it ridiculous? The shrooms suck the nutrients out brf or whatever else you use for nutrients. Why wouldn't it suck the harmaline and other alkaloids out of the rue.I don't know I'm not a mycologist but I'm sure I've read about people successfully doing this.Anyone else heard of it or tried.

Fungus doesn't just suck up all the nutrients from a substrate, it only absorbs some of them, the rest just sit there, doomed for the compost pile.

Jonny is right thats why no one adds pot to there substrate or acid or any other drug for that matter except the tryptamin mentioned above. L3D

Wow.. That's exactly what I was planning to say yesterday.. Mainly because my friend thinks he can, not even bothering to think for a second about how mushrooms grow, and said he's thinking of trying both. Guess he'll learn from his huge waste of money.. -Mark
